Today temperatures started to drop into their "teens" (14 - 19s degrees Celsius ) and in just a few days time we will officially enter fall. What's definite is "Winter is Coming". So, are you ready? I am excited to share my experiences (or lack thereof) at preparing for the coming season. A season dreaded by many Kabayans, including myself. Months before coming to Canada, I scrambled panickingly at what the best gear is to ward off the cold. I was told by our kabayans at Quebec (veterans at winter) not to worry about it. Most if not all the gear you need is here, they say. Like many of us, it is a comfort to have our own coats before arriving to Canada. I still continued to pursue the perfect gear (now, don't lie, I know you bought that P2000-5000 coat of M&S or something). I settled for an all-weather coat, not designed for winter, but enough to battle the coldest winds. The mornings started to get cold. A reminder that the impeding doom that is winter is coming. As a person who has not experience winter at all; I'm excited and intimidated at the same time. I asked locals, not just Pinoys living years here in Quebec at what tips they could offer. So here's what I found out: Winter Coats
